The scope of the project is the replacement of the existing chiller plant located on the North side of the Fire Station. The existing water-cooled chiller, cooling tower, condenser water pumps, condenser water piping are to be removed. A new 35-ton air-cooled chiller shall be installed on the existing concrete pad. The chilled water pumps, air separator, expansion tank, and pot feeder shall be replaced in like-and-kind. Electrical work shall include the demolition of the conductors and conduits for the existing cooling tower and condenser water pumps back to their source. Branch circuits for the water-cooled chiller and chilled water pumps shall be demolished back to the first disconnecting means. New conductors and conduits will be provided from the new air-cooled chiller and the new pumps to their new/reused disconnecting means. The existing conductors from the existing disconnecting means to the corresponding circuit breakers are to remain and be reused. Fencing shall be modified as required to provide a secure enclosure around the equipment.This project encourages M/WBE participation.
