The site for the Spalding Co. Animal Shelter is located in Griffin, Ga. The Owner has demolished the previous structure. Existing parking remains and will be refurbished and reused. The project includes site preparation, new pavement, pavement sealing, and aprons for Animal Control Vehicles, fencing and vehicle gates. Site lighting is by Owner. The building is a 1-story Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) on concrete slab, approximately 7,180 sq. ft. The envelope consists of Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and insulated metal roof. The building spaces include Lobby/Reception, Office space, Adoption area, separate areas for dog kennels and cat kennels, Exam room, Quarantine area, a kennel and floor drain system, and water washdown reels in the kennel areas. The project Bid Documents include Alternates and Unit Prices. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount.
