Sealed bids will be received by the City of Martinsville for Spruce Street Stormwater Repair. The replacement of the Storm Sewer line, approximately 220 linear feet, crosses the road and continues through the City of Martinsville right of way to the creek between and behind 906/908 Spruce street. This repair will consist of replacing the existing corrugated 40-inch pipe with a smooth wall 30-inch smooth wall plastic pipe. The City will source and supply the pipe. The bid will include the repair of the roadway after the pipe is installed. The paving specification is included in this bid for final paving repair calculations. The City has a video of the defective pipe and will show it at the pre-bid meeting. Pre-bid will be mandatory for this job. This repair is time sensitive. The winning bidder will be responsible for traffic control and creek pump around as necessary. This work will cross gas lines, fiber optic, phone water, and sewer lines. All work included under this contract shall be completed by June 30, 2023. Bonds required.
