Currently, Stoddard Wells Road, from Interstate 15 to Johnson Road, is an approximately 22 foot wide two-lane roadway with unimproved dirt shoulders. This 1.6-mile segment has seen a marked increase in heavy truck and passenger vehicle traffic due to its direct connection between the I-15 and the Walmart and Big Lots Distributions Centers. The paved area is deteriorating in the wheel paths and along the edges largely due to this increase in traffic. The proposed widening of this design is intended to increase the paved width of the roadway to 26 feet and reestablish the shoulder width to 12 feet on either side.
