Sealed bids are invited for the rehabilitation of stormwater management basins as summarized below. Improvements to seven (7) existing stormwater management basins located on private open space in the following subdivisions: Chandeleur Woods (three basins), Mariners Watch, Norwegian Woods, Salem Woods, and Shipley Farms. Work will include erosion and sediment control measures, temporary bypass pumping, removal and disposal of existing outlet structures and/or discharge pipes, placement of new outlet structures, discharge pipes, and/or flared end sections, backfilling, regrading and stabilization of embankments and channels, removal of erosion control measures, and preparation of as-built plans in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. New Castle County will only accept bids from contractors prequalified with the County in the category “B,” Site Work. Prequalification forms are available from the Public Works Contracts Officer in the William J. Conner Building, telephone (302) 395-5749. Bonds required.
