The work to be performed by the contractor under the specifications shall consist of furnishing all materials, labor supervision, tools, supplies, and other equipment necessary to provide preventive maintenance and repair services for the district elevators, including inspections, trouble shooting, adjustments, tests and replacement of parts as herein specified for all equipment covered under this contract. Contractor shall provide site repair services or estimates within 24 hours of the request through Work Order issued by PPS. Contractor shall have sufficient staff, repair parts, and means of transportation to complete the repairs within the required contractual time period. Weekends and holidays must be covered and are not exempt. The contractor shall repair the elevator at site if service repair is below $3,000.00. If repair cost exceeds $3,000.00, the Contractor shall provide a proposal to PPS to generate a purchase order before proceeding with any repair work. The proposal shall have breakdown of material costs (with material mark up) and repair labor hours and cost. All service repairs on each elevator shall have a warranty of 90 days without charge for additional service calls. All major repair work on each elevator shall have a warranty of one year. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
