Pre-registration requirements sent to RFP@jeffcolibrary.org by 12pm/noon MST on Tuesday 01/26/2021. Submit the Certificate of Experience / References Form completed entirety showing a minimum 5 references for 5 continuous years of service (high preferred) found on page 3 of the RFP posting AND a letter of good standing from the Secretary of State office dated within 2021. Site Walk attendance is mandatory to be considered as a vendor and will be Thursday 1/28/2021 8a-5p MST. In the case of extreme weather a rescheduled site walk will be the following week, if needed.

JCPL requires its grounds to be maintained to the highest standards of professional services. Landscape management services are to be managed in the most resource-efficient manner possible. The promotion of healthy growth of desired specimens, least toxic elimination of noxious weed and undesirable species, and efficient use of irrigation practices is expected. The library will accept proposals from companies having specific experience, resources, and qualifications. JCPL is seeking proposals for a contractor who has demonstrated abilities to perform the attached Scope of Work. Contractor must be in the business of providing lawn & landscaping maintenance services and must have been doing so for a minimum of 5 consecutive years (highly preferred). All applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations must be adhered to .JCPL facilities include 10 separate buildings located in Jefferson County (the Edgewater and Conifer Library are not included in this RFP) and comprises Fehringer Ranch, 6.75 acres of undeveloped land. Additionally, the JCPL Administration Building is connected to the Lakewood Library.The contractor is expected to act independently as a professional in the field, and to communicate effectively with JCPL’s Facilities Manager to provide high quality Landscape Management Services and practices. Contractor is expected to provide such services and respond to the Library’s needs in a safe, timely, responsive, and flexible manner. All irrigation is to be scheduled in accordance with the local utility’s water conservation guidelines, but in no instance is to be scheduled during operating hours of any facility nor is it to exceed the local utility’s water conservation guidelines for frequency or quantity. All chemical applications must meet safety guidelines, city ordinances and be appropriate for application on public grounds. Contractor is also expected to take a proactive approach in recommending preventative waste measures and best practices of water and other landscaping resources of areas outlined in this RFP. Bonds required. Term 4/21/21 through 4/21/22 with yearly renewal options. Bonds required.
