Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this Contract is to secure a Term Contract for the Mowing of City Right of Ways within the corporate boundaries of Garland, Texas. The mowing of all city ROW's shall include the mowing, appropriate trim work, edging of all curb lines, removal of edging debris (use of backpack blower if necessary) and removal or eradication of weeds/grass in expansion joints and concrete/pavestone nose cones. All ROW'S shall be edged each maintenance cycle, or when deemed necessary by the City Representative, during the growing season utilizing Stick Edgers or a Tractor-drawn Curb Edger (string-line trimmers are not acceptable for performing this work). Contractor will present to the Parks Department representative a proposed schedule for maintenance during the maintenance period. The Parks Department representative must approve the schedule before work may commence. If the Contractor expects to vary from the schedule, Contractor shall notify designated Parks Department representative 24 hours in advance. Contractor will be paid only for work actually accomplished. Time is of the essence in Contractor's performance of all obligations herein. Adherence to the schedule or approved adjusted schedule is essential. The contractor shall supervise and direct all work using his skill and attention. He shall be solely responsible for all construction means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures and for coordinating all portions of the work required to maintain the landscape in an attractive condition as specified herein for the designated maintenance period. Questions due 10/14/22. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
