The City of Greensboro (City) Procurement Services Division is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors to provide Storm Debris Removal and Hauling Services. The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to obtain a qualified Contractor or Contractors that can respond to requests from the City to remove curbside storm debris generated by any severe weather event throughout the year. All Contractors responding to this RFB will be required to submit a per ton price for storm debris removal per the enclosed bid form. The selected Contractor(s) will enter into contract with the City to cover the scope of services outlined in Section 2 of this RFB. The contract term will be for approximately three years beginning September 1, 2022 and concluding August 31, 2025. There are no contract specific M/WBE participation Goals assigned to this contract. While there are no M/WBE Goals assigned to this contract, the Respondent should make every reasonable effort to solicit M/WBE firms to participate as subcontractors, service providers and suppliers in the contract. Each submitting firm should complete an Affidavit A to detail the outreach to M/WBE firms. To qualify for participation as an M/WBE firm in the City’s program, subcontractors should be from the 27 county region outlined in the Program Plan. The City expects documented outreach to a minimum of 7 qualifying firms to be considered for reasonable effort and outreach. The City estimates the amount of debris generated from any one event in Greensboro could be as follows: Vegetative Storm Debris: 2,000 tons and above Demolition Debris: 2,000 tons and above **Note: A better and more firm estimate of the total or not to exceed tons of Vegetative and/or Demolition Debris shall be provided to Contractor(s) upon activation per each event** Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
