It is the intent of the School Board to establish a three (3) year firm fixed price contract for “Contract Services For Electrical Construction – County Wide” to include installation, repair, and connection for existing and/or new construction and relocatable classrooms as needed and specified herein for the period July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025. The School Board reserves the right to renew this bid for an additional three (3) year period upon mutual agreement, in writing. This bid shall be awarded to the three (3) lowest, most responsive responsible licensed contractors from low bidder to high bidder providing all labor, materials (when necessary), equipment and supervision to perform electrical construction, repair and connection for projects anticipated not to exceed $24,999.00, by establishing firm fixed hourly labor rates. Contractors will be ranked from low bidder to high bidder for projects anticipated not to exceed $24,999.00. Additionally all awarded contractors shall be solicited to submit a Request for Sealed Quotation Form on projects estimated at $25,000.00 and above as budgeted and approved by the School Board on a project-by-project basis using this firm fixed hourly labor rate. Labor costs shall be submitted in Section 1 as an hourly rate for one (1) licensed electrician and an hourly rate for one (1) helper. Section 2 shall be the Contractor agreeing to submit Sealed quotes using the hourly rates from Section 1 on the District Request for Sealed Quotation Form. To be considered responsive, vendor must respond to Both, Section 1 and Section 2, and submit on the Bid Tender Form. Award shall be based on the Total Combined Price of Section 1. However, all pricing shall be reviewed to ensure competitiveness. Bids that reflect unreasonable pricing for any item are subject to rejection. This bid is for the purpose of providing a Florida Licensed Electrical Contractor, EC or ER and Helper and/or material to perform Electrical Construction County Wide. Contractors responding to this bid must have successfully completed the School Board’s process for “Pre-qualification of Contractors”. Scope of Services – The Contractor shall provide electrical construction to include all labor, materials, equipment and transportation to provide electrical, fire alarm, data, telephone, intercom and video connections. For all projects that include data and telephone wiring, the project will be considered completed and full payment rendered when the final walkthrough has been completed, cabling plant documentation and test results, and “AS BUILT” drawings have been turned over to the Information Services Department and the Information Services Department has agreed that the Contractor has met 100% of the project Scope of Work.
