Breezewood Trailhead near the intersection of Tannery Road and PA Route 30, Breezewood, PA

The project is located in the both Bedford and Fulton Counties, Pennsylvania, and generally comprises the following: • Repair and filling with No.4 stone existing inlets along the Turnpike Trail to create a safe drainage and trail environment. • Clearing, grubbing and vegetative site clearing of approximately 6.5 miles of the existing Turnpike Trail from Breezewood to the former Cove Plaza trailhead. • Milling of bituminous material of one lane of the former PA Turnpike and replacing that milling material in place and then rolling and compacting to create an ADA compliant trail surface for approximately 7 miles. • Street sweeping of the two existing tunnels (Ray’s Hill and Sideling Hill). All questions must be submitted in writing via PennBID no later than 5:00PM prevailing time, May7th , 2021.
