Underground District No. 68 is located on Eucalyptus Dr. from Santa Ana Canyon Rd to 2000’ south including side streets of Silver Dollar Ln, Trish Ct, and Eucalyptus Way. The WORK shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and appurtenances necessary for the construction and installation of conduit, substructures, and related work for 12kV and 6.9kV underground substructure systems, installation of communications system, traffic signals, etc. as shown on plans. Work shall also consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, truck stock (exempt material) and appurtenances necessary for the construction and installation of 12kV and 6.9kV underground cables, switches, splices, surge arresters, transformers, pole risers, terminators, grounding and related work. Also, furnishing, coordination and installation of secondary and service cables to connect and complete residential/commercial/industrial service conversion, and connection of street light system, communications system including fiber optics, traffic signal, and removal of overhead poles, conductors, transformers, and related facilities in accordance with the PLANS, Electrical Standard and Specifications for Overhead and Underground Distribution/Transmission System Construction. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing encased conduit duct banks, conduits, vaults, splice boxes, electrical ground systems, locating and intercepting existing duct banks, construction and coordination of overhead to underground service conversions. Excavation-backfill-compaction within City or private property limits will be per Public Works Standard Specifications. Removal and replacing asphalt concrete in street, removal and replacing sidewalk, curb and gutter, drive approaches within the City and private property limits will also be per Public Works Standard Specifications. Coordination of the WORK with other agencies and other contractors, including but not limited to, County of Orange is required. This includes, but is not limited to all work required during the normal course of construction or due to damage resulting from construction, completing all framing, riser cable termination, guying and maintaining G.O. 95 and 128 clearance requirements to complete riser installation.
