The City of Salem, Virginia Purchasing Department is seeking bids from qualified, licensed contractors to provide construction services for the following: Construction improvements consisting of installing a new parallel water main within the limits of Upland Drive (public City st.), as well as installing new service laterals, meter assemblies, and interconnections with existing service laterals from the new parallel main to existing water customers that lie immediately adjacent to the limits of the work. Provide restoration of affected areas in accordance with the Contract Documents. The general location of the work is between 44 Upland Drive and 50 Upland Drive in the City of Salem, VA. It is estimated that a Notice To Proceed will be issued Seven (7) Calendar Days after the Date of Bid Opening, and work may commence immediately thereafter. Substantial completion shall be by Ninety (90) Calendar Days following the Date Of Notice To Proceed. Bonds required.
