For the improvement of certain section of roadway and bridge in Luzerne County, Dupont and Avoca Boroughs, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Route 0011, Section 355. The project being situated as follows: From approximately one and a half (1 ½) miles Northeast of the intersection with SR 2035 at Segment 0790 Offset 1428 (Station 60+00) to a point near the intersection with SR 2027 at Segment 0800 Offset 0735 (Station 488+50) along SR 0011 Sec 355, Pittston Ave/ Main Street with a total length of 2,785.92 Ft. (0.528 Mi.). This Bridge Preservation project consists of repairs of an existing Baltimore Pratt steel truss four-span (total span of 355 feet) over Norfolk Southern, Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroads and Mill Creek. Work includes (but is not limited to) excavation, full depth pavement/ shoulder, guiderail, concrete curb & sidewalk, truss member repairs, substructure repairs, joint repairs, expansion dam repairs, beam repairs, bridge drainage, fabricated steel repairs, structural steel painting, rock placement, E & S Control measures, pavement markings and concrete repairs. Additional work includes Unforeseen Bridge Repairs, temporary traffic control and other miscellaneous work, all as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package.
