The project scope will consist of modifying and/or demolition of the existing catwalk system in Building 2 (Performing Arts Center) of the Valencia College East Campus. The primary modification is the addition of a catwalk platform level to alleviate the need to reach off the existing catwalk to add counterweights to the stage rigging system. Catwalk will include new metal grating and guard rails at two areas of the existing catwalk platform. New spiral staircase to access new catwalk/platform with a new foundation support, lateral bracing. Demo of the existing high catwalk (potentially re-using the steel). Additionally, ductwork will be relocated during this project. Only pre-qualified contractors with a single project certification over $200,000 are eligible to bid.
