This project consists of washing various components of structures spanning the Illinois River in District 3. Components shall include the following. a) Entire concrete surface of the deck from end to end of structure. b) Entire concrete surface (inside face) of parapets from end to end of structure. c) All structural and non-structural steel as follows. • Girders/beams • Diaphragms • Cross Framing • Lateral framing • Drains/Scuppers • Expansion Joints • Finger Expansion Joints • Expansion Troughs • Bearings Structures with Arch/Truss Spans: No bridge washing shall be conducted on the arch/truss spans as measured from 15 feet above the top of the parapet wall to the top of the arch/truss. This project is located at several structures spanning Bureau, LaSalle, and Grundy Counties. The work will take place at the following structures: • Location No. 1: Structure No. 078-0047 carrying FAP 698 (IL 89) over the Illinois River approximately 0.91 miles south of US Route 6 (Spring Valley) in Bureau County. • Location No. 2: Structure No. 050-0079 carrying FAP 46 (IL 251) over the Illinois River, Water Street, and the CXS and Baltimore & Ohio Railroads approximately 0.26 mile south of US Route 6 (Peru) in LaSalle County. • Location No. 3: Structure No. 050-0237 carrying FAP 619 (IL 351) over the Illinois River approximately 1.2 miles south of US Route 6 (LaSalle) in LaSalle County. • Location No. 4: Structure No. 050-0191 carrying FAI 39 (I-39) over the Illinois River, IL Route 351, B&O Railroad approximately 0.87 miles south of US Route 6 in LaSalle County. • Location No. 5: Structure No. 050-0256 carrying FAS 1279 (IL 178) over the Illinois River approximately 2.20 miles south of US Route 6 (Utica) in LaSalle County. Contract Time: 55 working days. Federally funded project. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
