The work consists of a single contract for the construction of water distribution system improvements on Jefferson Avenue, Monroe Avenue and Lakeview Road in the Town of Hamburg; on Shirley Drive in the Town of West Seneca; on Electric Avenue and Clay Street in the City of Lackawanna to include: abandonment-in-place of existing 8, 6, 4, and 2 inch water mains (7800+/- linear feet total); installation of new 8 inch Ductile Iron Pipe (8060+/- linear feet total), 6 inch Ductile Iron Pipe hydrant branches (260+/- linear feet total) water distribution piping and appurtenances within the public rights-of-way; testing and disinfection; replacement of existing water services with connections to the new water mains; and associated restoration of pavements, driveways, sidewalks, and lawn areas. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
