Howard County, Maryland seeks a qualified firm to furnish a water valve inspection program. The Contractor shall develop, plan, and execute a program to locate, clean out, inspect, exercise, and record physical and operating information on County water distribution system valves6” – 48” diameter. The Contractor will verify the existence of all assigned water valves on the water maps by visual inspection. The Contractor will search for water valves assigned to them to be inspected, but not found by visual inspections, using a magnetic locator and other tools provided by the Contractor. Once located, the Contractor will paint all valve boxes and valve vault covers with environmentally formulated blue paint. The Contractor shall perform valve and box inspection Valve box cleanout, and valve exercising. Questions due by 05/20/2022 4:00 PM (EDT). Agreement term: One year with five renewal options exercisable in one-year increments. EBO goal 15%.
