The project includes replacement of steel water main in Fredericktown and Vestaburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania. The replacement of water main in Fredericktown is located on State Route 0088 from Frederick Street moving north past the Bowers Brother Lounge. The water main replacement in Vestaburg is located from Race Street southwest on Poplar Street towards State Route 0088. The intent of this project is to replace failing steel water main with C-900 pipe within the utility right- of- way. The replacement of water main in Fredericktown will include the installation of approximately 110 linear feet of 8” C-900 pipe. The project will include open- cut crossing located on State Route 0088. This project will also include a tie- in to the existing 8” C-900 water main, and open cut excavation along- side State Route 0088 up to the road crossing within the utility right- of- way. The open cut crossing across State Route 0080 will be repaired within PennDOT guidelines. The replacement of water main in Vestaburg will include the installation of approximately 600 linear feet of 6” C-900 water main within the utility right- of- way. The project will include multiple road crossings with the installation of one (1) fire hydrant. This project will also include a tie- in to the existing 6” C-900 water main located on Race Street. Associated site work will include localized traffic control, excavation, backfill, compaction, excess soils hauling/disposal, re-grading and seeding, and asphalt pavement restoration. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
