The Project generally includes the demolition of an existing well, construction, development, testing of a new well and well equipping. The well destruction work generally includes but is not limited to demolition of existing Well No. 8, masonry block wall, constructing 12” storm drain, and salvaging angle valve as specified in the Contract Documents.The well drilling work generally includes but is not limited to drilling a 42-inch minimum diameter borehole approximately 50 feet depth and installing low carbon steel conductor casing, drilling a maximum 18-inch diameter borehole to an approximate depth of 1050 feet, conducting downhole geophysical surveys, reaming the pilot hole to the specified diameters and depths outline in the Plans and Specifications, well construction including installation of blank and louvered well casing, a sounding/camera tube and a gravel feed tube, optional bentonite bottom seal, gravel pack, cement annular seal, etc., developing the well by mechanical and chemical methods via airlift swabbing with the drill rig and via line swabbing methods, analyzing the final well blend sample for a complete suite of Title 22 analytes, and various tests, surveys, and analyses for the complete well development,The well equipping work generally includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing a water flush deep well turbine pump, motor and well pump base, above-ground mechanical piping, valves, and appurtenances, a well acoustical sound enclosure, electrical and instrumentation equipment and facilities, an emergency generator, site improvements for Well No. 10 including a CMU wall, gate, trees, planters, and replacement of concrete and AC pavement. Bonds required. Prevailing wages. Q&A due by 09/23/20 at noon.
