Replace Slide Gate, frame, and Operator - The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, material, and supervision to replace the existing slide gate and operator with a new slide gate and operator provided by the contractor. The gate is to be made out of the same materials as the existing slide gate. The existing gate is a Rodney Hunt self-contained slide gate with extended operator nut and non-rising stem. A Mandatory Site Visit is required. To schedule a site visit, contact Charles Nichols at cnichols@mywinterhaven.com to make an appointment. Failure to make the required site visit will disqualify a potential bidder. The contractor is to provide any and all parts and equipment needed to provide a functioning slide gate. Hardware is to be 316 stainless steel. Where the bid price does not exceed $30,000.00, a bidder will not be required to post a bid bond. In cases where the bid price does exceed $30,000.00, each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or a bid bond in an amount not less than five per-cent (5%) of the base bid, as guarantee that the Bidder will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids, and will, within twentyfive (25) consecutive calendar days after receipt of written notice of award or a signed Purchase Order, enter into a Contract with the City in accordance with the accepted Proposal.
