The project consists of the addition of a new two-story classroom building of approximately 14,832 total square foot. with ten classrooms, restrooms, stairs, elevator and auxiliary spaces on an existing high school campus. The classroom building will be a wood framed, slab-on-grade building with plaster and metal siding at the exterior walls. The second floor will be wood ‘I’ joists with concrete deck. The sloping roof will have a standing seam metal roof. The interior will have carpet flooring, vinyl covered tackboard, wood wainscot, suspended t-bar ceiling, and plastic laminate casework. The building will have roof mounted solar panels with battery storage systems, electrical, low-voltage communication & data, mechanical and plumbing systems, including fire sprinklers. Work includes the demolition of existing site improvements, utilities, asphalt, concrete flatwork and demolition of (8) existing relocatable classrooms. Site work includes rough and finish grading, extending wet and dry utility lines to the new building, fencing, concrete flatwork, asphaltic pavement, irrigation, landscaping, and replacement of the LED marquee sign. Access to the construction area is limited by existing buildings, tennis courts, parking lot and paths of travel from the street. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
