Trades: High Voltage Electrical Contractor (HVE): Substation, Transmission/Power Lines, Venues, Arenas, Utility, Transformers, Breakers, Generator Contractor: Electrical & Power Provider, Backup Battery Systems & Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) Systems

The Work consists of the following: 1. Replace existing 2,000A, 480/277V, 3 phase, 4 wire main switchboard with new switchboard in the same location. 2. Replace old branch circuit panelboards throughout the facility as shown on plans. 3. Replace existing 480-208/120V step down transformers through the facility as shown on plans. 4. Modify door to main electrical room as shown on plans. 5. Replace existing exhaust fan serving main electrical room as shown on plans. 6. Replace light fixtures in main distribution room. 7. Add receptacles to Chief’s Office 8. Provide Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) for panelboards that do not currently have any. 9. Provide temporary generator during electrical service entrance and panelboard replacement for any power outages over 4 hours. Generator shall be diesel type, self-contained on a trailer with a sound attenuated enclosure and fuel tank with leak protection. Provide all connections, fuel, and all incidentals to operate the generator for the duration of the replacement work. a. Generator size will vary based on what time of year work is taking place and what equipment is needed to accommodate office personnel during those months. Generator must supply continuous power to the following: 1) Walk-in freezers and refrigerators 2) HVAC equipment serving the administration offices. MBE goal 29%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
