The work to be performed under this contract is located along the entire I-895 Baltimore Harbor Tunnel facility including ramps, as well as on some approaches to I-895. The project will upgrade signing including new ground mounted signing, new cantilever and overhead signs and sign structures including entrance signs with Dynamic Message Signs (DMS). This project is located in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County and Howard County. This project includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Installation of new entrance direction signs with static and DMS portions on existing cantilever sign structures at various locations. 2. Installation of new overhead and cantilever sign structures with static signs. 3. Installation of new conduit and fiber optic cable from cabinets to entrance direction signs for the DMS. 4. Installation of ground mounted signs. 5. Removal of existing ground mounted signs. 6. Removal of existing overhead and cantilever sign structures. 7. Installation of traffic barrier to protect structures. 8. Removal of existing sign lighting from sign structures. 9. Maintenance of traffic. 10. Erosion and Sediment Control. 11. Coordinating with MDTA and providing support to MDTA for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) integration and electrical switch over. This is not an all-inclusive list. MBE goal 20%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
