The purpose of this Invitation for Bid Document is for Wicomico County (“County”) to contract the construction of Civic Center Exterior Renovations. The scope of work will include exterior improvements to the Civic Center, focused primarily along the west and north sides of the venue. The EDA investment will include: construction of an expanded box office and lobby area; establishment of physical barriers along the north and west sections of the venue to provide added security for large crowds and improve general attractiveness of the venue; establishment of improved wayfinding which includes drop-off/pedestrian pathways for added accessibility & patron safety; improved parking lot flow and vehicular access drives to compliment safety improvements; installation of new site and accent lighting; creation of an expanded food court and entrance by the northwest corner of the venue; creation/expansion of outdoor pre-function spaces; and extension of Glen Avenue sidewalk to improve connectivity between the Civic Center campus and the local high school across the street. MBE goal 23.6%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
