New York State DOT solicits bids for the labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the provision of updated sign guidance and improvement of sign visibility where signing is absent or inadequate, and may require tree trimming work around proposed signs at various routes in various locations in Regions 8, 10 & 11 which include Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster, and Westchester Counties in Region 8; Nassau County and Suffolk County on Long Island in Region 10; & All 5 Boroughs of NYC: The Bronx (Bronx County), Manhattan (New York County), Queens (Queens County), Brooklyn (Kings County), and Staten Island (Richmond County) in Region 11. Contractor is required to be available to perform the assigned work, within the limits of the Contract, in a timely manner upon notice from New York State Dept of Transportation, Office of Traffic Safety & Mobility. The Contractor will be responsible for sign fabrication & installation, to include posts &/or foundations, and any directed removal or disposal of sign related elements and all work zone traffic control. DBE Goal: 0%; MBE Goal: 5%; WBE Goal: 10%; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) Goal: 6% Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
