The Village of Mamaroneck is seeking porposals from qualified contractors to provide a Mosquito Control Program to provide treatment for the elimination and prevention of mosquito larvae and mosquitos if hatched from May 1st to September 30th. Contractors responding to this RFP must have similar experiance in providing such services to municipalities. 1. Monitoring and Treatment of Eight (8) tidal ponds along Otter Creek preserve and Taylor’s Lane. a. Otter Creek/Taylor’s Lane Tidal Ponds – Bi-weekly larvae monitoring of the ponds and treatment with Vectobac-G. (Map of ponds attached.) 2. Treatment of appx. 1500 catch basins with larvicide “dunks”. a. Apply “Four-Star larvicide briquet” to each Village owned catch basin. This must be performed between June 1st and June 14th . 3. Fog Treatment of live mosquitos, if hatched. a. At the request of the Village of Manager, during times of reported live mosquito activity, operate the Village owned, truck mounted fogger in the Shore Acres section of the Village of Mamaroneck, with Merus 2.0 Organic. (Map of fogging route attached.) 4. Daily Fogging treatment for various special event areas at the request of the Village Manager. a. Fog individual special event areas with Merus 2.0 Organic prior to events, at the request of the Village manager. See attached for detailed requirements.
