Request for Information: The Authority owns approximately 330 acres (identified in Exhibit A) that has historically made up the Lake Crabtree County Park, under a lease agreement with Wake County. Because the Authority accepts grants from the Federal Aviation Administration, it is obligated to seek fair market value for all leased land. The Airport is an important economic engine for the region and state, contributing more than $17 billion to central and eastern North Carolina’s economy and supporting more than 85,000 local and regional jobs. The Authority is interested in developing approximately 136 acres, as identified in Exhibit A and further described below: a. Acres: Approximately 136 b. Topography: The site is rolling and the southern boundary line is the shoreline for Lake Crabtree c. Neighboring roadways / access: Direct access from Aviation Parkway, with nearby connections to Interstate 40 and Interstate 540 d. Utilities: Located nearby – investments to upgrade or connect shall be borne by the developer: i. Water: Town of Cary ii. Sewer: Town of Cary iii. Electricity: Duke Energy iv. Natural Gas: Dominion Energy e. Zoning: Controlled by the Authority Submitters may submit responses to this RFI (“RFI Responses”) for all or any part of the 136 acres. MBE/WBE/SBE goals once construction begins.
