The Deschutes County Department of Solid Waste (DCSW) is soliciting bids for the management of yard debris and wood waste collected at the County’s solid waste transfer stations. In general, the proposed work includes: Periodic grinding of yard debris collected at the County’s rural transfer stations and transfer of ground material to Knott Landfill in Bend. Periodic grinding and management of wood waste collected at the Negus Transfer Station. Ground material generated from wood waste grinding operations is to be utilized at an off-site facility arranged by the Contractor for energy production or other approved utilization technologies. The Contractor shall load and transport ground wood waste to the Contractor’s designated facility.
