Project Description: The new water purification facility will be a large-scale water treatment project to directly purify treated wastewater and redistribute it as potable reuse drinking water. The facility will receive treated wastewater directly from the Roberto R. Bustamante WWTP and purify it using advanced treatment technologies such as microfiltration/ultrafiltration, nanofiltration/ reverse osmosis, UV advanced oxidation, granular activated carbon, stabilization, and chlorine disinfection, before distributing it for urban water use. The main process building will also include designated areas for administration, research, and education. Bid Package 5 scopes include Tilt-Up Walls & Structural Steel, CMU – Masonry, Doors & Door Frames & Hardware, Glass & Glazing, Walls, Ceilings, and Finishes, Wet Pipe Fire Extinguishing Systems, HVAC. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
