Scope of Services: To establish a contract with a qualified, professional, licensed and insured surveyor to provide land surveying services for two (2) separate projects located in the County. Project One: The selected offeror shall provide boundary surveys and boundary line vacations to eight (8) County owned parcels, in accordance with industry standards and Virginia law. General Overview and Background: The County of Gloucester wants to re-establish the boundaries of Tyndall’s Point Park. This work includes eight (8) County owned properties, Vernon Street and the paper street within the park. Project Two: The selected offeror shall provide professional land surveyor services to determine location of county boundary line in accordance with Section 18VAC10-20-370, “Minimum standards and procedures for land boundary surveying practice”, for property located on County Line Road, Gloucester, Virginia. Background/Desired Services: It is agreed by the Assessor in Gloucester County, Dan Thomas, and the Commissioner of Revenue in King and Queen County, Kelly Lumpkin, that the location of the county line indicated on a survey filed is suspect, and this has led to uncertainty with respect to which jurisdiction the residence should be assessed. The property straddles the county line between Gloucester and King & Queen counties. It is a 1.68 acre tract located at 0 County Line Road containing a single-family residence built in 1976.
