Elevator Scope: a. Section includes Machine room-less electric traction passenger elevators as shown and specified. Basis of Design Delaware Manufacturing Custom sized MRL P4000FR. Existing entrances frames to be retained and undisturbed. b. Elevator work includes: c. Custom engineering and design for fit in existing hoistway. d. Complete removal, demo, and disposal of old existing elevator equipment. e. Retain and reuse existing entrances frames in place. f. Provide and install new MRL gearless electric traction passenger elevator. g. Provide and install new elevator car enclosures, hoistway doors and signal equipment. h. Provide and Install new operation and control systems. i. Provide accessibility provisions for physically disabled persons. j. Provide and install new equipment, machines, controls, systems and devices as required for safely operating the specified elevators at their rated speed and capacity. k. Materials and accessories as required to complete the elevator installation. Mechanical Scope: 1. Demo existing elevator machine room ventilation, including exhaust fan, outside air intake, and associated ductwork and dampers. 2. Provide, install and test heat pump HP- 1 as shown on the drawings, including condensate drain line and refrigerant piping. Coordinate with electrical. 3. Provide and install heating/cooling thermostat for HP- 1. See heat pump sequence of operation. Coordinate work with electrical. 4. Demo fire sprinkler piping, heads, and valves serving the elevator machine room and hoistway. 5. Demo section of unused existing roof drain piping at the top of hoistway and cap in hoistway wall. Electrical Scope: 2. 3. 4. 5. Demolition: Maintain all fire alarm related devices and conduit/wire. Demolish all conduit/wire routed to elevator controller. Demolish existing elevator shunt trip breaker and associated relays and circuits. Demolish all lighting fixtures and receptacles and conduit/wire. Demolish receptacle and lighting in pit. Demolish fan damper electrical serving shaft. Power: install new fixtures and lighting in ECR fed from panel ECR (GFI trip of receptacle on same circuit shall not have any effect on new lighting). Install new HVAC split system as shown on plans. Install new 100a panel emr-5 fed from existing panel ehc5. Install fused disconnect switch fed from panel ehc5 and conduit/wire as per plan to new controller. Provide all conduit/wire for connections to controller for cab power, intercom, to ECR lighting fixtures and receptacles, split system HVAC and receptacle adjacent to HVAC. Provide new lighting and GFI receptacle in pit. Fire alarm: provide new relay for fireman's hat and monitor relay (if required). Remake shunt trip functionality with new circuit from panel ECR, conduit/wire, and programming. Provide conduit/wire to controller for phase1, alternate and fireman's hat connectivity. Access control: provide parts and smarts for installation of a card reader within the elevator cab. Provide additional head end equipment and programming. Provide conduit/wire from head end equipment to a terminal strip installed in a j-box within the ECR. J-box is point of connection by elevator contractor. Structural Scope: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Demo existing platform and elevator support steel at the top of the elevator shaft. Demo steel supports for elevator rails in the elevator shaft. Demo part of concrete shaft wall for new access opening at the top of the elevator shaft. Install a new platform and support steel at the top of the elevator shaft. Install new steel supports for new elevator machine beams at the top of the elevator shaft. Install new elevator hoist beam at the top of the shaft. Install steel support member at the top of the new access opening in the existing concrete shaft wall. Architectural Scope: EMR 1. Demo portions of EMR walls. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Demo concrete and metal elevator beds. Cut opening in 18” hoistway wall for access door. Demo existing mechanical systems. Install replacement EMR walls. Install hoistway access door. Patch openings in wall from demo’d mechanical. Fire caulk all openings in EMR walls. Clean residual water damage at top of hoistway. Patch spalled concrete at top of hoistway. 11. Patch and paint EMR floor. Roof 1. Patch opening in wall where mechanical is demo’d. 2. Install mechanical equipment frame and line set supports. Hoistway/Pit/Cab 1. Scaffold up full height of hoistway. 2. Demo platform, steel, and other fabrications at top of hoistway. 3. Demo existing roof drain at top of hoistway. 4. Demo existing spreader beams. 5. Clean water damage from top of hoistway. 6. Install replacement platform, steel, and other fabrications at top of hoistway. 7. Patch residual opening from demo’d roof drain. 8. Patch spalled concrete at top of hoistway and paint top of hoistway. 9. Install replacement spreaders. 10. Paint new installed structure and equipment. 11. Clean and paint pit. 12. Replace cab flooring. Elevator lobbies 1. Protect historic finishes in lobbies. 2. Remove and replace marble finishes in elevator lobbies above hoistway openings.
