The City of South Lake Tahoe is seeking a Registered Professional Forester contractor to assist the City in the management of the U.S. Department of the Interior (“DOI”), Bureau of Land Management (“BLM”) funded “SNPLMA Fuels Reduction – South Lake Tahoe, Project SL01, Priority 18-13” project. Anticipated contract timelines are set to commence no later than Tuesday, August 13, 2024 and terminate Friday, December 1st, 2028. The project will look to reduce 149.82 acres of hazardous fuels at three (3) City-owned properties to reduce the severity of wildfire behavior, improve defensible space protection to adjoining private lands, and enhance forest ecosystem health. The three (3) project locations, will include: Lake Tahoe Airport, Tahoe Vista Neighborhood, and Campground/Recreation Complex. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
