The project generally consists of constructing segments 1 and 2 of the five-segment North Fork Miners Trail from the Delta County Fairground east, approximately 5,800 linear feet, to the North Fork High School. Segments 1 and 2 represent approximately 6,100 linear feet of the total project length and include an 8-foot-wide trail and fencing. The trail is a soft surface ADA-compliant multi-use path for cyclists and pedestrians. Segment 1 will include a parking area and trailhead at North Fork High School with the Segment finishing at the south terminus of River Ridge Road. Segment 2 will include trail construction and installation of Town of Hotchkiss water line and sewer line and trenching for the gas line to be installed by Black Hills Energy. Additional components of the project include: · Furnishing and installing erosion controls and stormwater management · Furnishing and installing permanent landscape restoration and revegetation · Furnishing and installing project signs, ballards, and other components noted in the plan set. Delta County will complete reconstruction of River Ridge Road upon completion of the utility installations. That portion of Segment 1 that occupies the maintenance road for Short Ditch Extension (approx. 2,000 ft.) will be initially constructed as a temporary trail. The ditch will be piped by others 4Q2024-1Q2025. That segment of the trail will have final completion in 2Q2025 after piping is complete. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
