The City of Magnolia is inviting bids for all labor, tools, equipment, and expenses to provide the rehabilitation of six streets by mill and asphalt overlay, adjusting manholes elevations as necessary, and repainting stop bar stripes and cross walks. The roads being rehabilitated are Unity Park Drive from Goodson Road to Cloyd Drive (approximately 2,310 feet) with a culvert being installed as indicated on the drawings, Heflin Street from Commerce Street to new pavement at private driveway (approximately 190 feet), Melton Street from Buddy Riley Boulevard to dead end of Melton Street (approximately 4560 feet), 6th street from Acker Street to end of cemetery fence post (approximately 490 feet), Placid Lake Lane from Dogwood Trail to new pavement (approximately 500 feet), and Charlie Street from FM 1488 right-of way to end of the street (approximately 610 feet). Pavement base should be a foot wider than the surface on each side of the road where possible. The work also includes patching on Cloyd Drive, starting approximately 20 LF from Unity Park Drive. Patching should be done through mill of the asphalt and base, and filling section with full depth Hot Mix Asphalt. There is an alternate bid of asphalt overlay for Buddy Riley Boulevard from FM 1488 to Melton Street (approximately 4820 feet), if chosen. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
