The scope of work requires replacement of existing electrical feeders and disconnects to serve new air handling equipment that is being replaced. In some cases, equipment sizing will be changed and will require some work within existing electrical distribution panels. New feeds will be installed to power building management controls. New fire alarm connections to the air handling equipment will be required to integrate to the existing fire alarm system. The scope of work requires the full replacement of the existing air handling units. Modification of existing duct work, heating and cooling pipes, and equipment configurations will be required including new valves for existing perimeter radiators. Work will commence following asbestos abatement throughout the cellar spaces where equipment is installed and must be completed within accepted phasing plans. New building management controls will be installed with the new equipment to provide adequate temperature control for the occupied spaces.The scope of work requires the removal of identified asbestos containing materials from plumbing and heating pipes throughout the cellars and crawl spaces of identified buildings. This will include pipes that are not directly modified as part of mechanical work with the goal being a fully abated space. As part of the phasing, the abatement work will be performed first with the building occupants being relocated temporarily. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
