This is an invitation to submit a bid to supply Chatham County with construction, equipment, supplies andlor services as indicated herein. The project is located in unincorporated Chatham County on property between Ogeechee Road and CSX Railroad to the west of Chatham Parkway Extension. The project begins at the end of an existing storm drain pipe adjacent to Chatham Parkway Extension and proceeds some 1000 feet the southeast along existing open channels. The work is not continuous along the entire length, but is in sections as shown on the project plans. The work consists of clearing and grubbing the work areas to the extent shown on the plans, removal of existing pipes and structures, installation of storm drain pipes, box culverts, headwalls and structures, and associated work as shown on the plans. Compliance with requirements of the NPDES Georgia general permit, with the exception of stormwater monitoring, is included. The work is located in undeveloped areas where it will not impact traffic. Capacity for stormwater flow must be maintained at all times, although temporary blockages are acceptable. A soil erosion and sedimentation control plan is provided and must be implemented prior to, and maintained during, construction. A Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid !q required to be submitted with each bid. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
