Project general description consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, and incidentals and performing all work required for the construction of a geosynthetic closure cover system over Phase IIC, approximately 39.9 acres, and a portion of Phase III, approximately 18.3 acres. This includes, but is not limited to: waste excavation and earthwork, geosynthetics liner system subgrade preparation over approximately 58.2 acres, installation of landfill gas collection components to be integrated into the existing active landfill gas collection system, installation of a geosynthetics liner system over approximately 58.2 acres, integration of existing and installation of new stormwater management system components, approximately 4,100 linear feet of existing roadway restoration and 4,000 linear feet of new roadway installation, and installation of temporary and permanent sediment and erosion control features to be maintained throughout the life of the project expected to be disturbed as part of the work. As part of the general requirements, portions of roadway restoration will need to be performed during non-operational hours at the Deans Bridge Road Landfill. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
