The 1050 Marble Street Hydro Plant Canal Maintenance Project entails the complete resurfacing of the river side of the spillway wall, the application of a sealant to the canal side of the spillway wall, the removal of all the debris in the canal, and the installation of a new trash rack in front of unit two. The resurfacing work is to include removal of any loose materials, the cleaning and prep of all surfaces, and the installation of new surface material to bring the surface back to (or as close as possible) the original dimensions. The timing of when the work will be done is based on the river flow, and the weather conditions. The engineering and water department has the authority to delay or stop the project at any time, and for any reason. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
