The City of Bakersfield (City) desires to enter into an agreement with a qualified contractor for providing Industrial cleaning services on an “on-call” basis. The term of agreement shall be in place for one year from the effective date of the agreement and may be extended in accordance with the provisions of this RFQ for three additional one-year periods at the City’s option and mutually agreeable terms. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: cleaning out vessels, tanks, and confined spaces such as dissolved air floatation thickener (DAFT) units, aeration basins, septage pits; flushing out grease tank and grease receiving equipment; changing out granular media in Sulfatreat vessels; and jetting centrate and sewer pipelines within the treatment plants. The Contractor must possess a valid confined space certification as per OSHA and/or any applicable Class C Contractor’s License. Bonds required.
