Work of this contract for the furnishing and installation of baseball field improvements defined in greater detail by other provisions of contract documents, is summarized as follows: Provide temporary facilities necessary for completion of work under this contract. Repairs of any damage resulting from this work. Removal and legal disposal of all debris and excess materials resulting from this work. Excavate, boxout, and furnish and install 4 inch thick minimum new stone dust over non-woven geotextile fabric for the floors of the two dugouts so that there is no lip or uneven surface that could create a tripping hazard. Excavate, strip, and level the entire infield from the first base fence line to the third base fence line and 6 foot into the outfield area. A pitcher mound or pitcher circle is not needed as the Town will be using a portable pitcher mound. The area where the pitcher mound would normally be shall be a flat grass area when completed. Furnish and install a two baseball base sets for 70 foot and 90 foot bases with a base path wide enough to accommodate both base distances, including but not limited to pro anchored bases with hinged ground anchors. The 90 foot bases shall have hinged ground anchors set in concrete (not the 70 foot ones). This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
