Work include replacing an existing two-lane Old La Honda Road Bridge (Bridge No. 35C-0190) by installing a 84-in concrete pipe below the existing bridge and backfill with cement around the new culvert from outside edge of the exterior girders up to the bottom of existing reinforced concrete T-beam bridge deck. Install rock slope protection with natural substrates on both upstream and downstream sides of bridge. Work on the downstream side also includes reconstructing the concrete railings and steel chains, constructing bond beams to stabilize the existing wing walls and embankments, and construct crash cushions. Remove trees and creek bank restoration construction. 70 working days.
