Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, California 90265. The meeting will give interested contractors an opportunity to visit two facilities (Malibu Bluffs Park, Legacy Park and the Cross Creek Road Area) and to ask questions regarding the project specifications. Contractors will meet City staff at the front of the Michael Landon Community Center in Malibu Bluffs Park near the main parking lot.
The City of Malibu is requesting proposals from an experienced, qualified landscape maintenance company to perform landscape maintenance services at various public properties under the jurisdiction of the City of Malibu Community Services Department. The general scope of work to be performed includes landscape maintenance of the City’s four major parks, three medians, Malibu City Hall, the Malibu Equestrian Center and a .20 mile section of planters and landscape on Cross Creek Road between Pacific Coast Highway and Civic Center Drive. The selected contractor will be held to a high standard of excellence and will understand the importance of clean and properly maintained public facilities, provide excellent customer service and can quickly respond to requests from the City and its residents.The new IPM is expected to be in place by the end of 2019 and will strictly prohibit the use of pesticides including herbicides and rodenticides. Contractors should be familiar with landscape maintenance practices that exclude the use of pesticides. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, the Contractor will only be allowed to use electric-powered blowers on City-owned, leased or managed property. Gas blowers will not be allowed at any time.The City desires to contract for services for a period of three years beginning on July 1, 2019, with the option to extend the Agreement for up to an additional three one-year periods. Bonds required.
