The project consists of the demolition of the existing boiler and associated terminal equipment (unit ventilators, fan coils, etc.), and the installation of packaged rooftop units, PTAC units, and other terminal equipment as indicated on the drawings. All ductwork will be located above the roof. The existing building contains a concrete plank roof. All new equipment shall be connected to the existing HVAC control system. Gas piping must be run to the new rooftop equipment. The existing gas meter/regular set will need to modified, and shall be coordinated with the utility company. The project shall be constructed in three (3) separate phases. The extent of each phase shall be as shown on the contract drawings. The contractor shall perform all work such that the existing HVAC and utilities in all other areas of the building remain operational during construction. Each phase shall be completed and turned over the Owner for occupancy prior to beginning work in other areas. The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the proposed phasing plan. This project encourages M/WBE participation.
