The project consists of removing all existing roofing, intermediate gypsum deck and insulation down to existing roof decks as well as disposal of parapet wall flashing containing asbestos located only at Roof “A” as shown on plans. Also included is the removal of selected mechanical rooftop equipment such as R.T.U.’s, rails, pitch pockets as noted on demolition plan. All roof drains will need to be reset. Replace all existing aluminum copings, covers plates, fascia, etc. In addition, the large skylight over the main lobby will be replaced with a new skylight and curtain wall at the rear of the lobby. A temporary access ways on each floors of the lobby area needs to be constructed to protect persons below from any falling debris during the demolition and reconstruction of the skylight. This project encourages M/WBE participation.
