Robeson Community College – 5160 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, NC
The awarded vendor will be responsible for providing labor and materials to paint buildings 2 and 8 as shown in the attached drawings. The summer hours for the College are Monday – Thursday 7:30 am -5:30 pm and closed on Fridays, therefore, the work can be done at night Monday-Thursday and all day and night on Friday-Sunday. It is the intention of the College to complete this job with minimal disruption to employees and students. The vendor will work closely with the College Facility Manager to work out this schedule. Also, with notice and working with our Facility Manager, space will be available to paint during business hours. The college will move office furniture to the middle of the office being painted or to a hallway. The work needs to begin immediately after issuance of award and be completed by June 30, 2019. Please see attached Sherwin-Williams specifications and we will be using Sherwin-Williams Paint. The contractor will be responsible for removing all existing rubber baseboards and installing new charcoal grey rubber baseboards. A performance and payment bond will not be required unless the bid exceeds $50,000.00 and would need to be for 100% of the contracted amount. We are not requiring a General Contractor license for this project. We request that you use at least 2 coats of paint on all surfaces. Some minor patching to sheetrock in a few areas will have to be done prior to painting. Leftover paint will become property of the College. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
