The scope of services sought by Union County shall include but are not necessarily limited to the following areas: Reviews private project development plans for conformance with general engineering practices and the Unified Development Ordinance of Union County in regard to; stormwater management standards, riparian buffer and floodplain development requirements. Reviews private development plans for conformance with the NCDOT Roadway Design Manual. Responsible for the inspection of private development, both commercial and residential, in regard to streets and pedestrian / bike plans. Reviews bond or surety amounts to insure compliance with the County’s ordinances as it pertains to streets, sidewalks, parking, and stormwater management. Attends night meetings as required. Attends technical meetings, grant workshops, or funding source meetings as required. This project encouraged MBE/WBE participation.
