The work generally consists of hauling, barging, and placing of new fill material on the existing Rookery Islands #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 in Nueces Bay (a shallow bay system), Nueces County, to expand the footprint of these nesting islands. This project will also include removal of existing geotextile tubes currently located along the perimeter of this island and placement of graded rock revetment for shoreline protection to replace the removed geotextile tubes. No dredging activities are permitted for this project. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
