The project work is generally described as: installation of District (or “Owner”) furnished blower on new structural supports on the existing Belt Filter Room deck; District furnished fine bubble diffusers on existing air distributors; new membranes for diffusers; new air piping from existing air distributors to blower; new pipe supports for all air piping including existing air distributors to new manifold, drop legs, and air header piping to the blower; piping modifications to divert Belt Filter Press filtrate to the new Ammonia Sidestream Treatment Process in Elutriation Tank No. 1; new chemical piping from the Belt Filter Room to Elutriation Tank No. 1; new perforated V-Launder and new weir plate connection to existing effluent channel; new effluent channel isolation gate; piping modifications to the exposed at grade piping to the east of Elutriation Tank No. 1; removal of material in Elutriation Tank No. 1 and demolition of existing piping and pipe supports in the tank; installation of Owner supplied biological media in accordance with supplier instructions; coordination with other work which includes a separate contract to coat Elutriation Tank No. 1; and appurtenant civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation and control improvements, all to make a complete and fully operable treatment system Bonds required.
