The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (“SFPUC”) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) in search of candidates with the qualifications specified in this RFQ to be pre-qualified to respond to the forthcoming request for bids to construct the Sunol Long-Term Improvements Project (“Project”) – Alameda Creek Watershed Center (“Center”). A “Candidate” is any entity responding to this RFQ.Alameda Creek Watershed Center: The SFPUC has designed the Center as a one-story (approximately 11,000 square feet) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) Gold facility that will include an interpretive display exhibit area, a freshwater stream profile aquarium, history display alcoves, a watershed discovery lab classroom, a community multi-purpose room, restrooms, an entry plaza, a reception area, and administrative offices. The building is surrounded by a newly constructed native landscape featuring a 2.5-acre informal botanical garden. Restoration of the Temple area forecourt, construction of new stairs and ramps to the picnic area, and paving will also be completed as parts of this project.
